Stopped here on our way back from Mackinac Island. AMAZING QUESADILLA! And with the rest of market there, you can customize your meal! Worked great for 6 peoples with varying tastes and dietary restrictions!

We ate here twice while in the area last weekend, and while the sandwiches were good, the prices were high, and the service is pretty awful. The shop is split level, with the restaurant/kitchen on the lower level and the grocery on the upper deck. You need to place your order at the kitchen counter, get your slip, and pay at the grocery counter, then return to the kitchen counter to retrieve your food. Very handicapped inaccessible layout. Additionally, when we were there for lunch, there was a young blonde woman working the kitchen counter who got the soup orders mixed up, and did not tell us that they were out of chorizo chicken rice soup.

The food here so really good for the most part. The customer service however is absolutely terrible. No one greets you as you walk in, nor has a smile on their face ever! I've complained about a grilled cheese I had got that was horrible and I never even got a sorry nor was there any remorse on the food they made. Another time I went in to get something to drink in the cafe. 3 employees were standing around, 2 of them being the owners, while one other girl was working hard. I stood there for a while, again no greeting or can I help you, before walking out with nothing. You'd think the other 3 people there would at least be taking orders of the people standing in line instead of just drinking their coffee. I have been to this establishment many times and have contemplated writing this but I've been nothing but disappointed time after time for the last few months.

Easily the best pizza in the Petoskey area. The crust is thinner but still very tasty! All the toppings they have to choose from are fresh and delicious and they make it really easy for you to build your own pizza, sandwich or pasta. They also have a great selection of house made desserts! Absolutely worth a try if you're visiting town and a favorite place for locals.

The best Turkey Reuben!!! Love everything I have ever enjoyed from Galley Gourmet. Everyone working here exhibits passion for preparing great food and works very hard. Lucky to live in the area that makes stopping in so convenient.

This place has amazing pizza! It is thin crust style, crispy yet a little chewy (not like a soggy cracker). They are very generous with their toppings, and I love that they have an olive mixture instead of just plain black olives from a can. They also have really good roasted garlic and they use whole cloves of it on the pizza. The first time we went we got half procuitto/pepperoni/olives and half olives/green peppers. We liked the pizza so much we went again the next day and tried the Roma Pizza (assortment of smoked/salted meats, roasted tomatoes, mozzarella, olives, roasted garlic and parmigiano). A small pizza can feed two people and it costs around $10 with 4 toppings included in the price. It's a pretty incredible deal considering they load up the toppings which are fresh and delicious. There is a market AND a sit down cafe, we just got our pizza from the market both times and sat outside to eat. The market is a gourmet/specialty market so the prices are a little higher, but they do have some interesting ingredients and specialty foods. FYI the Galley Gourmet is actually located in Bay Harbor, and is nowhere close to downtown Petoskey. Call for directions before trying to find this place!

Man, this is just one of those places. The girl behind the counter was D-U-M dumb! When I asked what was good on the menu, her reply was nothing. she also knew nothing about her menu when asked other questions. Other service staff were bland at best. I had the Muffuletta. It was really good, as were the other sandwiches and pizza that our party of six had. We sat outside on a rickety table, but enjoyed the meal. I debated 3 vs. 4 stars, but they get the nod for good food.

Galley Gourmet is a deli and gourmet food market located in tony Bay Harbor. They have a nice selection of wine and beer, gourmet cheese, charcuterie, jams, chips, crackers, nuts, etc. Their prepared food counter is excelent - great fallafel, dolmas, potato salad, pasta salads, crab cakes, precooked meats, etc. Even their brisket is good - high praise from a Texan! All the deserts are to die for - fabulous key lime pie! They also make excelent sandwiches, great pizza and the kobe burgers are great as well. There are a few tables outside and a couple of stools inside that you can eat at, but this is mostly a to go place. My only complaint is that everything here is very pricey - if their pricing was a little more reasonable I would give them 5 stars.

This is a great wine and gourmet shop. The take put/ dine in food is absolutely fabulous and fresh. Pizza is amazing.

I had never heard of this local place until recently. You can tell that everything is high quality and the taste is excellent. I had the chicken pot pie and quinoa salad. Both were delicious. Prices are decent, too. I've heard the pizza is excellent, but have yet to try it. I will definitely be going back.

Great pizza, a bit overpriced and borderline arrogant service. Seems like they are doing you a favor to serve you. Sometimes the pizza's worth it to me, sometimes I'd rather go somewhere they actually like having customers. A lot of Galley Gourmet's offerings (wine, cheeses, gourmet foods) are things you could get at Symon's General Store in downtown Petoskey--a place with TONS more charm and much friendlier service (they are pricey, too, though).

Got a stone fired pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, onion and garlic. The pepperoni was double layered and the garlic was put on by the clove. Fantastic taste, generous toppings, crispy crust. Can't go wrong

I used to work here, and I never got sick of the menu. It honestly is good food, I never ate anything I didn't like there. The summertime gets very busy so you have to have a little patience and understanding, and most of the employees are high school/early college aged. I don't know why it says they don't deliver, they do! Within the Bay Harbor area and also to local businesses (but not past the hospital). Occasionally if they're overly swamped, they'll say no to deliveries, but you just need to call and ask and they typically will. I think that if a former employee can give high remarks, it's a pretty decent place. My advice, if someone screws up (which happens, no ones perfect), just let your server know and they'll always be helpful. I didn't work with a single rude employee, they'll always understand, so long as you're respectful and not a snob about it. I was reading a review that says it's not handicap accessible, which is true, but if you ask your server to run up and pay for your order, they'll be more than willing to do so, I've done it before and I know that all my former co workers would do the same. The BBQ Chicken pizza is the best one on the menu...try it! It also isn't located in Petoskey, it's located on Main Street in Bay Harbor, right next to the Pancake House (second store on the left). College took me away from this job, but I'll always come back for the food, yum!
